Although I have spent most of my adult life loving playing and training for sport, I was not always ‘sporty’ by any stretch of the imagination. My teenage years were spent being the ‘fat’ kid, always last to get picked for school sport teams. My love of sport and training really started when I went to university I found rugby, or rugby found me, as it were. I loved it. I played for the University, Scottish Universities and other representative teams. Once I left university this continued, playing for and captaining an Edinburgh team until I fell pregnant with my first son.
After my first son was born, in what was a particularly difficult birth, I found Pilates. Pilates helped me build my inner strength again and it is for me still the ‘glue’ that keeps me together physically and mentally.
I have a passion to help people understand how pilates can help EVERYONE with their ability to withstand the rigours day to day life, whether you are a desk jockey, mum to be, mum to little humans or bigger humans, with your sports performance or just to move better, to feel better to live better!
